ENGINEERED WOOD FLOORING, PARQUET

We are experienced engineered wood flooring manufacturers who pay special attention to every product we create. Our experience in Lithuania spans 20 years. We offer high-quality flooring adapted to various tastes and needs. “Wilbergs” two-layer engineered wood floors feature excellent functional and aesthetic properties, making them easy to adapt to different interior styles.

Durable and resistant two-layer engineered wood flooring

Our engineered wood floors consist of two layers of wood: the bottom layer (birch plywood) and the top layer (oak or ash). Birch plywood is moisture-resistant and has high strength, making it suitable for underfloor heating. On top of it is glued oak or ash with a thickness of 4 or 6 mm.

The bottom layer, also called the base or leveling layer, is grooved for the connection of the boards. Such flooring can be installed in various ways: glued to a flat wooden or concrete surface, and larger boards can additionally be screwed or nailed.

Two-layer parquet is multilayer, so it is sometimes confused with three-layer flooring, which is more common. However, these types have different properties. A board made of two layers of wood provides better heat and sound insulation, and it does not creak. Such wooden floors look natural, are strong, stable, and long-lasting.

Oak engineered wood flooring

Oak engineered flooring is suitable for all types of floors, including heated indoor floors. It has excellent physical and mechanical properties. For this reason, oak parquet is resistant to deformation and can be installed in spaces where temperature and humidity fluctuate.

Oak flooring comes in a wide variety of options, making it easy to choose the one that fits your interior best. By shade, oak parquet is usually divided into:

  • Light. It looks very subtle and elegant, while also giving a sense of spaciousness, coziness, and cleanliness. It is often chosen as an alternative to classic (brownish) parquet. It works perfectly in both classic and minimalist interiors.
  • Brown. This shade is considered classic. It gives homes warmth and a touch of subtle luxury. Brown oak flooring is versatile, making it easy to match with different styles of interiors. This may be the perfect choice for those who want to create a timeless home look.
  • Dark. If you are looking for original and unconventional solutions, this oak flooring is just for you. Dark wooden floors highlight light furniture and interior details especially well. They also look very luxurious. This shade fits both modern and classic interiors.

Ash engineered wood flooring

Ash parquet also features high quality, durability, and a natural look. Compared to oak, it has a lighter shade, making scratches less visible. Ash flooring gives homes a sense of warmth and coziness. Another advantage is its wide variety, allowing even the most original interior ideas to be realized easily.

Two-layer ash flooring is stable and suitable for underfloor heating. It is worth noting that both ash and oak wooden floors usually acquire a warm golden shade over time. This is a completely natural process and nothing to worry about.

Engineered flooring for underfloor heating

All our flooring products are two-layer. For this reason, they are ideal for both heated and unheated floors. High-quality engineered flooring ensures a stable structure, resistance to damage, and deformation caused by temperature or humidity changes.

Production of engineered wood flooring

We are a Lithuanian and Scandinavian company with many years of experience in manufacturing and selling high-quality engineered wood flooring. For decades, we have specialized in wood products and know the details of this process very well. A large part of our production is exported to Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Iceland, where the standards are very high. We always strive to fulfill your expectations so you can enjoy an attractive, functional, and durable interior.

During production, the oak or ash top layer of the boards is fully coated with a protective finish. It can be of three types:

  • wax oil;
  • hard oil;
  • lacquer.

Therefore, no additional treatment is required.

Hard-oiled parquet is moisture-resistant, making it suitable for kitchens and even bathrooms. Oiled flooring needs refreshing more often than lacquered, but there is no need to worry, as this process is simple and can be done at home. The top hardwood layer is usually 4 or 6 mm thick. After some time, wooden floors can be sanded and re-oiled or re-lacquered.

In the “Wilbergs” assortment, you can find boards of different widths:

  • 100 mm;
  • 140 mm;
  • 190 mm;
  • 250 mm.

Their length can reach up to 2900 mm. In Lithuania, boards up to 2200 mm long are considered standard.

Our flooring can be installed in different ways: straight or herringbone (“Herringbone” – at a 90-degree angle and “Chevron” – at 45 or 60 degrees). The parquet is fully ready for installation, so no additional treatment is required.

We carefully consider the functional and aesthetic properties of each flooring. We offer an exceptionally wide range of colors, from classic to exclusive tones. Attractive, durable, and resistant “Wilbergs” parquet allows you to turn your interior visions into reality.

Parquet care

Manufacturing is not the only factor that determines the durability of flooring. Proper maintenance is also very important. Oak parquet should only be cleaned with a well-wrung mop, as excessive water may cause the joints to darken. If installed near an entrance, it is recommended to place a mat to prevent sand, gravel, and other dirt from scratching the floor.

After laying oiled or lacquered flooring, it is recommended to polish it immediately. This fills in any remaining micro-gaps, makes the wood more resistant to moisture, and simplifies maintenance.

Looking for flooring that is resistant to various environmental factors, aesthetically appealing, and long-lasting? “Wilbergs” has something to offer you. We have been working in this field for many years, so we know what makes a good floor. We constantly improve production technologies to deliver higher-quality products that exceed your expectations.
